The terms and conditions must be accepted on the introductory page of Digital Maturity Assessment Tool (DMAT) in order for you to use the tool. It is voluntary to use the DMAT survey, as well as the generated report, and Aarhus University cannot be held accountable for the results.
The DMAT is a research initiative developed to explore and better understand the concept of digital maturity by investigating the digital maturity of organisations across different contexts, such as sectors, sizes, and nationalities.
The DMAT is intended for organisations and companies to assess their digital maturity, in addition to research conducted by Aarhus University. The research is led by Annabeth Aagaard, Associate Professor at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Digital Business Development, who also owns the copyright of the DMAT.
Map only your organisation
Individual public and private companies can be granted access to use the DMAT with the purpose of assessing their own digital maturity by answering the questions in the DMAT survey by themselves.
Note that only first-hand data may be submitted, e.g., your assessment of the department in the company/organisation where you are employed. The DMAT is prohibited for use by consultants and consulting companies to map their clients’ digital maturity.
Usage by researchers
Access to the DMAT can also be granted in collaborative research and industry projects where DBD is involved and/or have granted permission for usage.
However, the DMAT is not to be applied by researchers, universities and/or other types of organisations and stakeholders without being part of a collaborative agreement or written permission by Annabeth Aagaard.
In case researchers, universities, and/or other types of organisations and stakeholders would like to apply DMAT for their research and/or projects, they must seek written permission from the copyright owner Annabeth Aagaard.
If permission is granted, the applicant will receive access credentials for the volume, type, and duration of usage as agreed upon.
Note that the researchers may not enter data into the survey, as the DMAT must only be used by the representative of the company or organisation that is being assessed, to ensure high quality first-hand data.
Data protection
Your consent to participate in the study is provided on the introductory page of the DMAT survey. We collect your organisational assessment data to construct aggregated profiles for research and academic publications. No analyses will target the individual level or name specific companies or organisations.
All data is handled confidentially during the collection, processing, and analysis phases.
All information gathered by Aarhus University is stored securely in compliance with the standards set by the Danish Data Protection Agency.
Publications
Publications from the survey data will not include information that could identify the results of specific companies or organisations.
Project datasets
You are asked to indicate your project affiliation with access credentials in the beginning of the DMAT survey. When doing so, you accept that your assessment will be handed over to the project lead on the specific project in which you participate as part of the DMAT project dataset.
If you are in any doubt regarding the aims and processes of the specific project you are part of, we refer you to contact the leader of your project.
